The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC on Tuesday confirmed 758 new cases of coronavirus disease in the country bringing the total number of confirmed cases in the country to 74,132.
The new cases were confirmed in a tweet via the official Twitter account of the health agency.
The new cases were confirmed in 19 States with the FCT recording the highest infection for the day with 305 new cases.
The new cases brings the total number of confirmed cases in FCT to 8,729.
Other states with new infections are : Lagos-152, Kaduna-103, Bauchi-44, Gombe-35, Plateau-31, Rivers-17, Sokoto-15, Kwara-13, Kano-9, Ebonyi-8, Ogun-5, Osun-5, Oyo-4, Edo-4, Anambra-4, Bayelsa-2, Ekiti-1, Taraba-1.
Of the total cases, 66,494 have, however, recovered and have been discharged while 1,200 persons have died.
On December 11, the country recorded 796 new cases, the highest daily toll in months, sparking fears of a resurgence.
