The Nigerian Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has confirmed 1,479 new cases of coronavirus in the country just as it also confirmed 23 deaths in 24hours.

The NCDC in it’s late night tweet said the 1,479 new cases were confirmed in 24 States and the Federal Capital Territory thereby moving the total confirmed cases in the country to 105,478.

Of the new cases , Lagos recorded the highest with 697 as against 542 new cases recorded on Wednesday followed by FCT with 201 also with an increase compared to 131 confirmed on Wednesday.

Other States with new Infections are : Nasarawa-80, Plateau-74, Rivers-72, Edo-46, Adamawa-43, Osun-39, Akwa Ibom-35, Delta-31, Anambra-27, Oyo-24, Kano-21, Abia-19, Enugu-19, Ogun-18, Sokoto-12, Bauchi-7, Taraba-7, Ekiti-4, Gombe-4, Imo-4, Bayelsa-2, Jigawa-2 and one in Zamfara.

The health agency also announced the recovery and discharge of 1,275 infected persons increasing the total recoveries in the country to 83,830.

According to NCDC ,the discharges include 642 community recoveries in Lagos State, 312 in Oyo State and 99 in Plateau State.

Sadly the agency also confirmed 23 deaths moving the death tolls to 1,405.
