The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) has confirmed 920 new cases of coronavirus infections and six more deaths across the country.
This was announced on its Twitter page on Saturday night.
Saturday’s figure is the third-largest daily figure ever, with the highest being 1,145 recorded on Thursday.
The new cases were recorded in 17 states and the FCT. Lagos and the FCT recorded the highest cases with 308 and 207 new positive samples respectively, while Kaduna recorded the third-highest figure for the day with 179 new cases.

Yobe-15, Enugu-13, Kano-13, Ogun-12, Delta-10, Edo-5, Osun-3, Oyo-3, Anambra-2, Ekiti-1
Six new deaths were reported taking the total death tally from COVID-19 in Nigeria to 1,218 as at Saturday night.
The NCDC also discharged 300 patients after testing negative for the coronavirus taking the total number of discharged cases to 67,784
