The Governor of Jigawa state, Mohammed Badaru Abubakar has received his booster dose of the AstraZeneca Covid 19 vaccine.
While addressing newsmen after receiving the vaccine the governor urged the people of Jigawa to ensure that they take the vaccine to be protected from getting infected by the deadly virus.
Noting the significance of the booster dose, the governor said it is pertinent to get the booster dose considering the new variants which have forced some countries to impose lockdown in major cities.
He added that the state government has provided the vaccines in public places and also in rural communities to ensure easy access to the vaccine.
According to him, the daily vaccine rate has been impressive with it reaching 17,000 people per day as compared with the five to ten thousand a day.
