COVID19: Akwa Ibom Postpones Grand Finale Of Virtual Miss Africa Calabar

The Akwa Ibom State Government has announced that the year 2020 edition of the Miss Africa Calabar will now hold virtually on the 30th of December as against 27th December earlier announced.

A statement released by the state government, said the decision to hold it virtually is due to Covid-19 restrictions that have caused some logistic challenges.

It reads “However due to this inevitable circumstance we have made sure to secure every approval and follow strict guidelines that have been put in place by the Federal Government of Nigeria and the Cross River State Government respectively.

” That is why we announced that this year 2020 the Miss Africa 5th edition will be virtual and in order to deliver a show that will conform to all international best health practices as regards the pandemic. The postponement will also help to sensitize our fans all across the globe on how they can watch the show live on the 30th of December, 2020.
