The Commissioner for Culture and Tourism in Ondo State; Mr. Yemi Olowolabi; in his bid to cushion the harsh effects of the Covid-19 pandemic in the lives of the people of his constituency, has given financial palliatives to the physically challenged, the less-priviledged and numerous members of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Idanre Local Government Area of Ondo State.

The event which held on Wednesday, May 20, at the Ojomo Akintan Hall of the Palace of Owa of Idanre kingdom, had in attendance, APC Party Executives of the Idanre Local Government led by it’s Party Chairman; Olumide Adeuti; the Chairmanship Candidate of Party; Prince Kayode Aroloye; the Special Assistant (Administrative) to the Commissioner; Hon. Marcus Kila Adesemoye; and other notable indigenes of the town.

Speaking at the event, Olowolabi said the financial palliative was to complement the food palliatives distributed by the Ondo State government to the people of Idanre; irrespective of political affiliations; some weeks ago.

It would be recalled that some weeks ago, food palliatives was given by the state government and distributed among the people of Idanre community; and it was done to cushion the effects of the lockdown in the state due to the coronavirus outbreak in the country.

The cash aid by the Commissioner was to the tune of N5000 each and given to over 500 beneficiaries.

Handing over the financial palliatives, Mr. Olowolabi urged the people to continue to support the government of Oluwarotimi Akeredolu so that the people can continue to enjoy the dividends of good governance.

“The monumental achievements recorded in Idanre under Akeredolu government is second to none. The Governor has constructed a lot of roads in Idanre; the community used to be mono-transit before now but thanks to the governor who has opened another road for us. If past governments in Ondo State have been contributing to the development of Idanre, by now all roads in the town would have been fixed”, he stated.

He charged party members to support the second term ambition of the governor.

“I implore you all to continue to support Arakunrin Akeredolu because he will continue to bring the much desired development to the community”.
