COVID-19: Nigeria Records Another High With 8 Deaths

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control,NCDC has again confirmed 1585 new cases of COVID19 in the country taking the total confirmed cases to 99,063.

The health agency announced this in a late night tweet on its official Twitter page on Saturday night.

The new cases were recorded in 25States and the FCT, Lagos again topped the list with 573 new cases followed by FCT with 182 new cases.

Other States with new Infections are;
Plateau-162, Gombe-81, Oyo-75, Rivers-68, Sokoto-58, Ondo-55, Ogun-42, Nasarawa-40, Akwa Ibom-36, Edo-31, Kaduna-27, Anambra-22, Delta-19, Kano-17, Osun-17
Ebonyi-16, Katsina-14, Niger-14, Bayelsa-9
EKiti-8, Borno-7, Jigawa-5, Abia-4 and Bauchi-3 .

According to the health agency, additional eight people lost their lives to the virus in the last 24hrs even as the death toll hits 1,350.

However,865 people recovered from the virus and were discharged from the different isolation centers across the country taking the total discharged cases to 79,417.

According to the NCDC, on discharges on saturday include 419 community recoveries in Lagos State, 123 community recoveries in Gombe State and 117 community recoveries in Plateau State managed in line with guidelines.
