The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC, has confirmed 917 new cases of coronavirus disease in the country taking the total confirmed cases to 90,080.
The health agency in a tweet via the official Twitter account @NCDCgov on Sunday night said the new cases were confirmed in 16 states and the FCT.
The health agency also confirmed nine deaths from the ravaging virus across the country moving the death toll to 1,311.
The new cases FCT recorded the highest with 222 new Infections followed by Lagos State with 214 new cases.
The new cases in Kaduna seems to be soaring higher as the State confirmed 119 new cases on Sunday as against none reported on Saturday and 92 reported on Friday.
Other States with new cases are ; Plateau-92, Nasarawa-50, Oyo-41, Adamawa-33, Ondo-32, Abia-28, Ogun-19, Rivers-17, Kano-16, Yobe-14, Edo-8, Anambra-6, Ekiti-5, Jigawa-1.
In the brighter side out of the 90,080 confirmed cases 75,044 have been discharged from different isolation centers across the country.
