The Nigerian Correctional Service (NCoS) has directed investigation into an alleged immodest behaviour of a staff to the wife of an inmate.
The Controller, NCoS, FCT Command, Dr Abdul-Rahman Maiyaki, said this in a statement by the Command Public Relations Officer, Mr Chukwuedo Humphrey in Abuja.
Maiyaki reiterated that the command was not taking lightly the allegations of the immodest behaviour by a staff of the command who was alleged to have coveted the wife of an inmate in custody.
He said that upon getting the report, he had further informed the Controller General, NCoS, Mr Haliru Nababa.“Acting upon the directives of the Controller-General, we have instituted a full investigation into the matter.
“And also for unhindered access to investigation and justice, Mr Musa has been deployed out of Suleja Custodial Centre,” he said.
Maiyaki assured all parties involved that upon the report of the investigation, justice would be served as the service would not hide any staff who painted the behaviour and good morals of the service in bad light.
He further encouraged the the public to continue to have faith in the officers and men of the command.
