Former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP) in the 2023 elections, Mr. Peter Obi, left Nigeria on Tuesday for a three-day visit to Egypt.
Obi who announced the trip through his verified twitter page, @PeterObi, said the idea of the trip was to enable him study how other countries are making progress when Nigeria is plumbing the depths of despair.
While in Egypt, he will, among other things, study the Egyptian power sector, education, planning and finance sectors.
These are major areas where Nigeria has failed woefully.
Obi, who shared photos of himself at the airport on his twitter page, said he is embarking on the trip as part of his determination to do a detailed study of comparable countries to Nigeria.
“I just departed for Egypt on a 3-day visit as part of my detailed study of comparable countries to Nigeria. In Egypt, I am expected to understudy, among others, the Egyptian Power Sector, Education, Planning and Finance Sectors. -PO”, Obi tweeted.
