The Corporate Affairs Commission (CAC) has created a Loans Scheme as part of a welfare package to assist its workers.

The Registrar-General of the Commission, Alhaji Garba Abubakar, disclosed this on Sunday in Abuja while giving account of the commission’s activities.

Abubakar said that the loans scheme, which will be a revolving credit facility, had already been approved by the Board of the Commission.

The Registrar-General said that a budgeted sum would be credited to the scheme from the Commission’s resources and be augmented whenever its cash flow permitted.

He said that an internal mechanism was also being designed for a very transparent management of the revolving loans fund to ensure that CAC workers got prompt and best support for their financial needs.

”Our staff will soon start benefiting from the scheme as it’s being funded,” Abubakar assured.

The Registrar-General said that the loans initiative was also in support of President Muhammadu Buhari’s efforts to enhance the economic conditions of all segments of the Nigerian populace, including workers in Federal Government Agencies.

Abubakar urged CAC workers to continue to be hardworking and utilise the opportunity presented by the new internal loans scheme to improve their economic well-being.

He assured that CAC under his leadership would continue to prioritise workers welfare, stating that more initiatives were being planned to enhance the quality of life of CAC workers.

Abubakar said that in spite of creation of the new CAC loans Scheme, CAC Management would continue to give necessary support to the workers Cooperative Society.
