Governor Oyebanji says the recognition is a reflection of his administration’s commitment to its development agenda which is hinged on accountability and transparency.

He says the State will continue to pursue its shared prosperity agenda, emphasizing accountability and transparency as well as citizen participation.

Ekiti State, according to the BudgIT report released earlier in the week, has demonstrated excellence across key transparency indicators, including the Medium-Term Expenditure Framework, Approved Budget, Quarterly Budget Implementation Report, Audited Financial Statements, Accountant General’s Report, e-procurement, and Fiscal Data Repository.

The State secured first position in the first, second, third and fourth quarters of 2025 State Fiscal Transparency League Table, reflecting the Ekiti’s strong commitment to open governance and accountability.

“This outstanding performance highlights Ekiti’s proactive approach to financial disclosure and digital accessibility of budget information.

“To maintain its leadership in fiscal transparency, the state should continue strengthening institutional mechanisms for sustained compliance, ensure real-time updates of fiscal data, and enhance public engagement in budgetary processes to further promote accountability and trust”, the report adds.

Governor Oyebanji says he will continue to uphold the principles of fiscal discipline in actualizing his administration’s development agenda built around six pillars.

He also lauds the citizens of the State for their support for the government’s policies and programmes.
