The Breast Cancer Association of Nigeria, BRECAN Ondo State chapter on Saturday held Elections into different executive positions of the association.
The election which was held at the BRECAN house in Akure commenced with candidates presenting their manifestoes.
Then, the Electoral Officer, Dr Emmanuel Onyema read out the electoral guidelines for a hitch free exercise before the commencement of voting which was a secret ballot electoral procedure.
Counting of votes were done immediately after the close of voting time and counting was done in the full glare of all members present.
The new executives are to run the affairs of the association for the next two years
They are: Mrs Justina Chinyere Iyke-Nneke- Chairperson, Mrs Justinah Arinola Adamoleken- Vice -Chairperson, Mr Kyrian Obiorah- Secretary, Mrs Grace Ijalade- Assistant Secretary
Others are ; Mr Bolaji Bolarinwa- Treasurer , Mrs Elizabeth Titi Ogunmoyela- Financial Secretary, Pharm Olabode Ogunjemiyo- PRO, Alhaja Sikirat Idera- Welfare Officer.
In her acceptance speech , The newly elected chairperson, Mrs Justina Chinyere Iyke-Nneke thanked the members for the confidence reposed in her and other officers while promising to take BRECAN to a new level.
The inauguration of the new executives is to be held at a later date.
