Protesters numbering hundreds have gathered at the All Progressives Congress (APC) secretariat in Abuja, demanding immediate dissolution of the party’s National Working Committee (NWC) among others.
Many of the protesters who claimed to be members of the party said they are dissatisfied with how the party is being managed hence the peaceful protest.
The protesters bore posters with various inscription like ‘NWC is a disgrace, we have lost confidence in it’, ‘the current NWC is our biggest problem’, ‘the current NWC has destroyed our party‘, ‘The NWC has divided the party and highly uncoordinated, we want it dissolved’, ‘NWC must go’, among others.
Addressing journalists at the Secretariat Okpokwu Ogenyi, one of the group’s leaders gave a 48-hour ultimatum to the party leaders to resolve the crisis or witness more of such protests across the country.
