For the third time in one week, Nigeria’s national grid has collapsed again.
The latest collapse occurred early Saturday morning, with many states reporting total blackouts.
Data from the Nigerian System Operator’s portal (niggrid.org) revealed that the grid recorded zero megawatts (MW) as of 9.20am today.
This latest failure comes on the heels of two other collapses earlier in the week, further straining the already fragile power system.
A statement on Ikeja electric ‘X’ handle confirmed the blackout.
