MultiChoice Nigeria has announced that the 2026 season of Big Brother Naija, BBNaija, will premiere on Sunday, July 26.
At a press briefing in Lagos on Wednesday, organisers said this year’s winner will take home N160 million, the biggest grand prize in the show’s history since it began in 2006.
The prize package includes N100 million in cash and a brand new SUV.
Atinuke Babatunde, Executive Head of Content and Channels, West Africa at MultiChoice, said the new season will raise the stakes.
“Big Brother Naija has consistently redefined entertainment in Africa by bringing together authentic storytelling, compelling personalities and moments that resonate with millions of viewers. Season 11 builds on that legacy with even bigger stakes, fresh twists and an exciting mix of housemates that will keep audiences engaged from premiere night through to the finale.”
The launch show will air at 7 pm on Africa Magic Showcase and Africa Magic Family. The 24-hour live feed will also be available on DStv channel 198 and GOtv channel 49.
Fans can also stream the show live on DStv and GOtv Stream.
Organisers recently concluded auditions for Season 11. In-person screenings were held from May 22 to 24 in Lagos, Abuja, and Enugu.
Auditions were free and open to Nigerians aged 21 and above with valid identification.
Opeyemi Ayanwale, also known as Imisi, won the last edition on October 5, 2025.
She defeated 28 other housemates to claim the N150 million grand prize, which included N80 million in cash and an SUV.
