The Bauchi state command of the Nigerian Police Force have arrested a 22 year old man identified as Musa Hamza after killing a teenager for rituals.
The incident occured in Alkaleri Local Government of Bauchi State, North-East Nigeria.
According to a statement released by Ahmed Wakil a spokesperson to Bauchi state police command, Hamza lured 17-year old, Adamu Ibrahim to the outskirts of the forest in the village and killed him with a stick after which he beheaded the victim.
He forcefully gouge-out the two eyes, burnt the body and head and buried them separately in shallow graves located in the nearby bush.
According to the statement, during the investigation, all the buried human parts were exhumed and taken to General Hospital Alkaleri for medical examination for doctors to certify the corpse.
According to the statement, the alleged suspect confessed that he was asked by a ritualist to bring the eyes for ritual to enable him become rich.
Exhibits recovered from the suspect include one knife, one mp3 player, one pair of rubber shoe and one lighter.
