“For those of us who knew Bala Mohammed antecedents and pedigree, we are not suprise. Bauchi is extremely lucky that he is bringing his experience in Abuja to the State.”

David Mark therefore appealed to the citizens of Bauchi State to continue to giving their maximum support and cooperation to the governor to enable him succeed in the implementation of the policies and programmes.

On his part, Governor Bala Mohammed said over the years, successive governments in the state have not been able to meet up with the provision of basic requirements in road networks , thus his administration embarked on both urban and intra state roads construction and rehabilitation in all the senatorial districts of the state.

The governor said the completed and ongoing roads infrastructure testifies to his resolve for infrastructural development as currently, Bauchi metropolis is undergoing an unprecedented accelerated urban renewal programme.

“A crucial aspect of Government is continuity. We decided to continue with previously awarded road contracts by the immediate past administration which has seen completion of Murtala Mohammed Way that defied the efforts of our predecessors.”

“This is to humbly demonstrate our government’s appreciation to the people for this basic roads infrastructure and equally march our words with action. This progress wouldn’t have been achieved without the support and cooperation of all actors, stakeholders and the relative peace we enjoy in the state.”

He said the state is in advanced collaboration with development partners such as World Bank to further increase mobility and accessibility in which he said has enabled the state to participate in Rural Acces and Agricultural Marketing Project (RAAMP) to improve rural access and agricultural marketing by targeting 300km of all seasons rural roads for construction in the state.
