Matawalle, who is the Minister of State for Defense, expressed his deep sadness upon hearing about these attacks and urged the communities in the state to report any suspicious activities of the bandits to the security agencies.

The ex-governor in a statement issued by his media coordinator, Ibrahim Dosara, conveyed his sympathy and condolences on behalf of himself, his family, and political associates to the Maru and Kaura Namoda Emirates, local government councils, and the Zamfara State Government.

He said, “We are deeply shocked and saddened by the significant loss of human lives and the immense suffering that has resulted. May Almighty Allah ease your pain and grant you patience.

“We are profoundly disturbed by the mindless acts of banditry in the two local government areas and other parts of the state, which have led to extensive loss of life and destruction. No words are sufficient to condemn such acts.”

“We share in the sorrow of our fellow citizens and extend our sympathies,” he added.

Matawalle also offered heartfelt condolences to the families of those who lost their lives and to all the victims of these attacks.

“My thoughts and prayers are with the relatives of those who lost their lives in the recent waves of tragic incidents,” he said.

“What occurred is a devastating blow to all of us and to the civilized values that we hold dear. I am profoundly shocked and grieved by the terrible atrocities and losses inflicted on your communities and people,” he said.

He lamented the disregard for the values of human life and dignity, calling the acts “a horrifying affront to all of us, a threat to humanity and human values.”

“As a native of the state and the Minister of State, Defense, I wish to assure you of my unwavering commitment and resolve to implement the comprehensive decisions and policies of the Tinubu administration to defeat these threats and restore the lost glory of our beloved state and the country as a whole,” Matawalle added.
