Armed bandits launched a deadly attack on the Kungurki community in Kaura Namoda Local Government Area of Zamfara State, k!lling an elderly man and abducting 13 residents, including a two month old baby and his mother.
Intelligence sources told security analyst and counter insurgency expert, Zagazola Makama that the assailants stormed the village on Saturday night, November 30, 2024, firing sporadically to instill fear among residents.
In addition to the abductions, the bandits looted several shops, carting away food items, household supplies, and other valuables.
The attackers moved swiftly, rounding up their victims and retreating into the nearby forest.
“It was a terrifying experience,” a resident said.
“They took women, children, and an elderly man was k!lled in cold blood.
