Gunmen suspected to be bandits attacked five communities in Kajuru LGA of Kaduna State on Sunday, and killed 25 persons.
They also razed several houses, livestock and valuables.
The villages are; Maikori, Dogon Noma, and Ungwan Doma, among others,
Spokesman of the Southern Kaduna Peoples Union, SOKAPU, Luka Biniyat, in a statement on Tuesday, said the incident happened between 1am and 2 pm on Sunday.
The statement further said 16 persons were killed in Maikori village, while the entire community was burnt down completely.
According to the statement, an Evangelical Church Winning for All, ECWA, was burned by the attackers, and about 10 people were killed in the Dogon Noma village alone.
Biniyat also confirmed that a bomb was dropped on a compound, and the level of damage in the whole village is yet to be ascertained, as many are still missing.
