Kebbi State Governor, Abubakar Bagudu, on Saturday visited Sastazai village, in Augie Local Government of the state, where gully erosion is threatening to cut down the road and damage the nearby houses.

The Governor was accompanied among others by the Chairman, Direct Labour Agency, Allhaji Muhammad Bello Dantani, Magajin Rafin Kabi, Alhaji Yusuf Haruna Rashid , Sardaunan Gwandu, Special Adviser on Power, Augie Local Government Chairman Hon. Lawal Muhammad Yola and some government officials.

The Governor directed for the repairs of the road and culvert, so as to stop the erosion from expanding into surrounding houses in the area.

A resident of the area, Alhaji Abubakar and some farmers who were at the scene when the Governor inspected the area, thanked him for his prompt response and appealed to the Governor to assist them with farming inputs as the wet season draws closer .

Bagudu, while assuring the people of his administration’s readiness to support farming activities throughout the state, also urged them to use the abundant fertile land in their areas, to engage in massive farming.

The Governor also made a stop over at Yola village, where he condoled with the family of late Ali Usman Addini Yola, who died last Monday, from an undisclosed protracted illness.

Bagudu also prayed the Almighty Allah to forgive the deceased and give his family the courage to bear the loss.

The deceased, aged 81, an elder brother of an Islamic Scholar , Shehu Abubakar Yola, is survived by one wife and many children.

Similarly, Senator Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, was in Mera Village, Augie Local Government, to condole with the Alh. Bashir Isah Mera (Yariman Mera) a Senior Special Assistant to the Governor, over the death of his mother, Hajiya Fatima Isah Mera, who died Friday, from a protracted illness.

He prayed to the Almighty Allah to grant her Aljannat Firdaus and the family the formidable fortitude to bear the irreparable loss.

Late Hajiya Fatima died at the age of 65 living behind 8 Children among whom is Alh. Bashir Isah (Yariman Mera) SSA to the Governor and Mu’azu Isah Mera

Governor Bagudu was accompanied on the condolence visits by the Chairman Direct Labour Agency Alh. Muhammad Bello Dantani (Magajin Rafin Kabi), Special Adviser on Power Alh. Yusuf Haruna Rasheed (Sardaunan Gwandu), and Alhaji Haruna Abubakar Maitandu, the Overseer of Kebbi State Pilgrims Welfare Agency.
