Jigawa State Governor, Muhammad Badaru Abubakar has commended President Muhammadu Buhari for approving the establishment of community policing in the country.
The Governor made the commendation at the community policing stakeholders meeting in Dutse on Tuesday.
In a statement by his Media assistant, Auwal Sankara, the Governor,said the initiative is timely and it would go a long way in bringing solutions to many security challenges facing the country.
Badaru also commended the effort of the inspector General of Police, Muhammed Adamu, for ensuring that the community policing has come to reality.
DIG Sallihu Hashimu Arugungu (Rtd), who presented a paper at the stakeholders meeting faults the Nigerian Police in their usual Habit of parading suspects, which according to him jeopardizes investigation process.
