Ondo State Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, has approved the appointment of no fewer than 32 senior civil servants as Permanent Secretaries in the state civil service following their confirmation.

The development was disclosed in a statement issued on Monday by the Chief Press Secretary to the Governor, Ebenezer Adeniyan.

In addition to the Permanent Secretaries, the governor also confirmed the appointments of a new Statistician-General for the state and an Auditor-General for Local Governments.

The newly appointed Permanent Secretaries are Mrs Tayo Ogundare, Mrs Morayo Bayo-Philip, Adeyemi Sule, Mrs Olufunso Tunji-Omoniyi, Olanrewaju Abiodun, Tope Lebile, Stephen Aworere, Omotayo Akeju, Olufemi Moyinolorun, Olakunle Ajibade, Mrs Oluwakemi Akinyemi and Bamidele Daisi.

Others include Akinluyi Omotola, Olumide Kinga, Mrs Ope Adetoye, Olusiji Olatunji, Mrs Oluseyi Odusola, Mrs Funke Adelayi, Dr Akindele Ige, Olanrewaju Akarakiri, Dr (Mrs) Abike Ilawole, Tpl Abimbola Tofowomo and Kolawole Kayode.

Also appointed as Permanent Secretaries are Dr Peter Akingbade, Ayodeji Ogudare, Adeduro Akinbola, Ibidapo Ojo, Olusegun Orisabinone, Surveyor Idowu Owolabi, Adeoye O. Atibioke, Mrs Toyin Awotoye and Ayodeji Ayeku.

Governor Aiyedatiwa further confirmed the appointment of Olusola Sunday Ajayi as Statistician-General and Dr Charles Tunde Ojuolape as Auditor-General for Local Governments, subject to clearance by the Ondo State House of Assembly.

The statement noted that the appointments take effect from February 1, 2026, adding that the swearing-in ceremony for the newly appointed officers will be announced at a later date.
