Former president Olusegun Obasanjo clocks 82 on Tuesday and the presidential candidate of the People’s Democratic Party, Atiku Abubakar had sent his congratulatory message to him.
In a message written on his facebook wall, the ex-vice president disclossed that no living Nigerian has given as much to the Nation in time of peace and war as Chief Obasanjo.
“A very happy 82nd birthday to you, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo. No living Nigerian has given as much to Nigeria in peacetime and in war as you have. May almighty God grant you many more years in good health and continued service to Nigeria and the world at large.” the message read in part.
Atiku Abubakar, the PDP presidential candidate in the just concluded presidential and National Assembly election has refused to congratulate the APC candidate and winner of the election, president Muhammadu Buhari.
Alhaji Abubakar, who polled 11,262,978 votes came second to trail President Buhari who won the keenly contested election with 15,191,847.
The PDP candidate has resolved to challenge the result at the tribunal.
