Ekiti State Assembly has impeached the Speaker of the house, Gboyega Aribisogan.
Aribisogan has also been suspended indefinitely by members of the Assembly.
Olubunmi Adelugba has now been elected as the new speaker.
The impeachment is coming just hours after Aribisogan appeared on Channels TV accusing immediate past Governor, Kayode Fayemi of masterminding a plot to impeach him.
Aribisogan alleged that Fayemi is colluding with seven lawmakers of the state assembly to impeach him on Monday.

On Monday, Seventeen out of the 25 members impeached the speaker and elected a new one.
The Assembly has been embroiled in a controversy following the death of the former speaker, Funminiyi Afuye and subsequent emergence of Aribisogan as the new speaker.
