The Court of appeal has reinstated the New Nigeria Peoples Party, NNPP, candidate, Mukhtar Umar Yarima, representing Tarauni Federal Constituency seat
Yerima was removed by the National and State Assembly Elections Petitions Tribunal sitting in Kano.
Yarima was accused of certificate forgery and was sacked by the court which declared Hafizu Kawu winner.
The three-man panel led by Justice I.P. Chima declared Yerima ineligible for presenting a forged copy of his primary school certificate to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
But the appellate court on Saturday disagreed with the tribunal, saying it failed to establish a case of forgery.
Yerima had denied forging or submitting forged documents to the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for election.
He had explained to the Tribunal that the discrepancies in his credentials were due to a change of name, which was made legally, adding that the name change was done long before the 2023 general elections.
