APC Registration: Bagudu Reiterates Commitment To Success Of Exercise

Kebbi state Governor, Abubakar Atiku Bagudu says he will do everything necessary to ensure the success of the registration and revalidation of APC membership which has already commenced in the state.

Bagudu gave the assurance this Monday at a stakeholders meeting of the APC which took place at the Presidential Lodge, Birnin Kebbi.

He pointed out that in view of the importance of the exercise, APC Governors accompanied President Muhammadu Buhari to revalidate his membership of the party at Daura, saying the APC attached significance to the exercise as foundation of political and democratic growth.

In a statement by his Chief Press Secretary, Abubakar Mu’azu Dakingari Abubakar, Governor Bagudu expressed happiness that Kebbi state has become the home of the APC.

While advising the stakeholders to mobilize supports to pertake actively in the exercise, he requested the state to strengthen their unity by being tolerant with one another for the development of the state.

The Governor affirmed commitment to attaining the target objective of the registration programme.

Advising the gathering, the Kebbi State Chairman of the Registration Committee appointed by the National Secretariat of the party, Professor Muhammad Sani Yahaya affirmed that the exercise has already commenced in the state with the arrival of the members.

Professor Sani Yahaya confirmed that all materials needed for the exercise have been provided while training of officers to conduct the registration would begin this Tuesday.

He solicited for support from the stakeholders to ensuring success of the programme.

The committee chairman announced that the revalidation and registration of new APC members would take place in two thousand three hundred and ninety three polling units across the state and the exercise would last for two weeks.

Professor Sani Yahaya commended Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu for enhancing the fortunes of the party at state and national level, as well as his support towards the assignment of the committee.

Other members of the National Committee include Hon. Abdulazeez Idris, Senator Nelson Effiong, Ambassador Ahmed Abdulhamid and Alhaji Yusuf Bature as members.

The Caretaker Chairman of APC, Kebbi State Arc. Bala Sani Kangiwa also acknowledged the support of Governor Atiku Bagudu to the party, assuring that all necessary support would be accorded the committee members to succeed.

The meeting was attended by Governor Abubakar Atiku Bagudu, Senator Muhammadu Adamu Aliero, Minister of Justice Abubakar Malami SAN, the State Deputy Governor Retired Colonel Sama’ila Yombe Dabai, Speaker of State House of Assembly, Sama’ila Abdulmumin Kamba, Deputy Speaker, Muhammadu Buhari Aliero, Members of the National Assembly, State Assembly, Secretary to the State Government, Alh. Babale Umar Yauri, Commissioners, Chairman National Commission for Disable, Hon. Hussaini Kangiwa Local Government Chairmen and other top members of the APC graced the occasion.
