The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate for the upcoming Anambra election Jude Ezenwafor has been reportedly been shot by unknown gunmen in Abuja.
Sources say the attack happened on Friday night near Wuse 2 as Ezenwafor was on his way home from an appointment.
He was seriously injured in the incident.
Ezenwafor was attacked and shot by gunmen on Friday night while he was in Wuse 2, Abuja.
He is currently receiving treatment at a private hospital in Abuja, where doctors are preparing to remove bullets from his body through surgery.
Speaking from his hospital bed early Saturday, Ezenwafor described the incident as a near-death experience. He said he was on his way home from an appointment when the gunmen attacked.
“I’m currently in the hospital. The doctors are making efforts to operate on me to remove the bullets,” he said.
Two other people who were with him during the attack were also shot.
