The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) is set to arraign Ezekiel ThankGod, the business manager of gospel artist Mercy Chinwo, on February 14, 2025.

He faces charges related to the alleged diversion of $264,000 in royalties from Chinwo’s digital platforms and events.

The case will be heard by Justice Alexander Owoeye at a Federal High Court in Lagos, following a petition filed by Chinwo accusing her manager of financial misconduct.

The Judge had last week issued a bench warrant against the music producer following an ex parte order filed by the lawyer to EFCC, Bilikisu Buhari.

But the case could not be heard on Friday, January 24, 2025 following an appeal by his team of lawyers led by Monday Ubani (SAN), who begged the Court to pick a new date due to inadequate preparation.

Ubani who said his client, Ezekiel was unaware of the summons, also assured the court of voluntary appearance of his client in court.

Meanwhile, an independent audit firm, Pearson Consulting has uncovered the diversion of $264,000 belonging to a gospel artist, Minister Judykay, by Ezeetee.

The revelation came through an audit report produced after a thorough review of financial records.

The findings, forwarded to the EFCC for further investigation, have become a key component of the fraud case against Ezeetee, who is already embroiled in other allegations involving artists under his record label.
