Akwa Ibom State Governor, Umo Eno has dissolved the State Executive Council, effective immediately.
This was disclosed in a statement by the Secretary to the State Government, Eno Uwah, on Friday.
According to the statement, all commissioners and special advisers have been directed to hand over to permanent secretaries in their respective ministries. For ministries without permanent secretaries, the most senior director will take over.
“All Honourable Commissioners and Special Adviser are hereby advised to hand over to their Permanent Secretaries or the most Senior Director where there is no permanent secretary,” Uwah said in the release.
He added that the governor expressed his sincere appreciation to the outgoing Executive Council members for their dedicated service to the state.
The governor was also said to have wished them well in their future endeavour and thanked them for their contributions to the development of Akwa Ibom State.
