The Chartered Institute of Transport Administration (CIoTA) has scheduled Saturday, November 26, 2022 for its elections.

The election will hold virtually between 7am and 7pm on the said date.

Chairman of the electoral committee ,CIOTA, Prof Odewumi A.G made this known when he released the electoral time table.

Odewumi however declared the commencement of campaign and other electioneering activities with immediate effect.

Three contestants are vying for the position of President of CIoTA.

They are:  Group Managing Director Temple Limited, Prince Segun Obayendo, former Director General, Nigerian Maritime Administration and Safety Agency (NIMASA) Shamsudeen Ade Dosunmu and Director Consumers Affairs Department, Nigerian Shippers’Council, Chief Chukwuemeka Cajetan Agu.

Others vying for key positions in the election are post of Deputy President which includes Umar Iya, Emeka C. Ogwara and Lami Tumaka Hadiza.

For post of National Secretary, has two contestants ,namely: Chinda Philips Ogbuji and Philips O. Okoronkwo.

While for Assistant National Secretary position has Jimoh Musa Yusuf and Ekeke Chiarizolem respectively.

National Financial Secretary, has Captain Green Elei Igbogi and Felicia Mfom Uki.

Other positions are Treasurer: with Jimba Ganiyu Adeshina and Ijeaku Onyewuego celestina contesting  while National Publicity Secretary has Chizoba Anyika and Chinwe Nwaegbute.

For the post National Auditor, Aminu Muktar, Faleye Stella C, and Agbor Manyo Emmanuel while National Provost position will be contested by Ibiama Kenneth, Mr. Salisu Abubakar and Abdullahi Adewale Bashir.
