Nigerian international Ademola Lookman has been named among the 30 players shortlisted for the prestigious 2024 Ballon d’Or award.
Lookman’s nomination follows his outstanding performances for Atalanta, which culminated in the club’s victory in the Europa League last season.
The list also features Jude Bellingham of England, who currently plays for Real Madrid.
Bellingham is considered one of the frontrunners for the award, having won both the La Liga and Champions League with Madrid. He also played a pivotal role in leading England to the final of Euro 2024.
Erling Haaland of Norway and Manchester City is another strong contender. Haaland’s prolific goal-scoring helped Manchester City secure the Premier League title and reach the semi-finals of the Champions League.
