The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, has congratulated Governor Ademola Adeleke of Osun State over his victory at the Supreme Court.
PDP said Adeleke’s victory is a confirmation of its popularity and commitment to Nigeria.
The Supreme Court earlier on Tuesday affirmed the election of Ademola Adeleke as the governor of the state.
Justice Emmanuel Akomaye Agim, who delivered the judgement, ruled that the former governor, Adegboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress, APC, who challenged the victory of Adeleke, based all his allegations against the election on unfounded hearsay.
Reacting, PDP tweeted: “Breaking News! The Supreme Court of Nigeria has affirmed Governor Ademola Adeleke @AAdeleke_01 of the @OfficialPDPNig as the winner of the July 16, 2022, Osun State Gubernatorial Election.
“This victory is a confirmation of our party’s popularity in Nigeria and commitment to nation building.
