A 29 year old lady, Onwanna Nnenna has been arrested by operatives of Anambra State Police Command for attempted murder.
Nnenna allegedly pushed one Miss Ijeoma Nwafor, a 14-year-old female down a four- storey building after beating her.
Confirming the incident, spokesperson for the Command, Tochukwu Ikenga said the suspect who hails from Nando, Anambra East Local Council was arrested on Saturday at Otu Street, Awada Onitsha area of the state.
Ikenga however confirmed that the victim, a native of Achalla, who lives in the same building has been rescued.
“ Police operatives at about 4:00 p.m. on July 2 arrested one Mrs. Onwanna Nnenna ‘f’, 29 from Nando, Anambra East on a case of attempted murder that happened at Otu street, Awada Onitsha.
“Preliminary information shows that the victim, one Miss Ijeoma Nwafor. ‘f’ 14, native of Achalla was pushed down from a four-storey building by the suspect, when she was beating her. Other details revealed that the victim is a house help to the suspect.
“Meanwhile, Mrs. Nnenna is currently in custody and the victim, receiving treatment in a hospital,” he said, adding that further development shall be communicated.”
