The Secretary to the Government of the Federation, George Akume, has urged members of the City Boy Movement to remain focused and intensify mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu’s re-election in 2027.
Akume made the call on Friday, August 21, 2026, during a visit to the movement’s headquarters in Abuja.
He was received by the Director-General of the movement, Francis Tosin Shoga, alongside other national and deputy national directors. The SGF toured the organisation’s departments and commended the leadership and staff for their commitment, dedication and level of organisation.
Akume charged members not to be distracted by opposition activities and to do everything possible to secure Tinubu’s return to office.
“He charged everyone to remain focused and committed to the movement’s goals and work for the re-election of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu,” the movement said in a statement.
The SGF also urged members to communicate the policies and achievements of the Tinubu administration to Nigerians.
The leadership of the City Boy Movement said it is expanding its structures across the country and is targeting the mobilisation of 10 million young Nigerians ahead of the 2027 elections.
