The African Democratic Congress, ADC, in Osun State has presented its candidates for the Senate, House of Representatives and State House of Assembly ahead of the 2027 general elections.
In a statement signed by the party’s Publicity Secretary, Abosede Busayo Oluwaseun, on Monday, the ADC urged residents to take note of its candidates and support them ahead of the polls.
According to the statement, the party presented candidates for the three senatorial districts, nine federal constituencies and all 26 state House of Assembly seats.
For the Senate, the ADC named Akeem Olaoye for Osun Central, Senator Adelere Oriolowo for Osun West, and Babatunde Olaniyi Loye for Osun East.
In the House of Representatives, the party presented Akinlabi Olusegun for Ifedayo/Ila/Boluwaduro, Barrister Olayinka Oyefusi for Ifelodun/Boripe/Odo-Otin, and Taofeek Arogundade for Osogbo/Olorunda/Orolu/Irepodun. Tajudeen Ajagbe will contest Ede North/Ede South/Egbedore/Ejigbo, while Gbenga Ogunkanmi was named for Iwo/Olaoluwa/Ayedire and Bolarinwa Ibraheem for Irewole/Isokan.
Others are Sikiru Ayedun for Ife North/Ife East/Ife Central/Ife South, Olowu Sunday for Obokun/Oriade, and Ajibola E. Oladimeji for Ijesa South.
The ADC also presented candidates across the 26 state assembly constituencies. Notable names include Akanbi Kehinde Joshua for Ifedayo, Oyedotun Olalekan for Ila, Oyetola Kayode for Boluwaduro, Wahab Kazeem O. for Ifelodun, Oluyemisi Titilayo A. for Odo-Otin, and Lateef Mumini Abayomi for Olorunda.
The list further includes Tiamiyu Idris for Osogbo, Hammed Sakirat Adefunke for Ede North, Akanni Saburi A. for Ede South, Akinyemi Philip for Ejigbo, Adigun Adekunle M. for Iwo, Olaniyi Sariat for Ayedaade, and Oginni Gideon for Oriade, among others.
The party said it was confident the candidates “represent a new opportunity for quality representation, purposeful leadership and a stronger democratic future for the people of Osun State.”
