The Speaker, Nasarawa State House of Assembly, Ibrahim Abdullahi Balarabe has described the National Leader of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Bola Ahmed Tinubu as a leader par excellence who has paid his dues for the country and democracy.

Balarabe stated this on Tuesday when members of Nigeria Diaspora for Asiwaju (NDA), a support group, paid members of the House a consultative visit in Lafia.

According to him, Senator Tinubu has contributed a lot not only to the development of Lagos State but the country at large.

Tinubu is a household name in the country. He is a leader par excellence and his track record is clear.

“Senator Bola Ahmed Asiwaju has demonstrated leadership as he has done very well when he was the Governor of Lagos State devoid of any sentiment.

“He has grew many people in politics and other aspects of life both locally and nationally.

“In APC, he has paid his dues and he has also sacrifice for democracy in the country”, he said.

Senator Tinubu who is being projected as presidential candidate for the 2023 general elections the Speaker added that “it is my prayers that Nigerians at appropriate time will stand for Asiwaju”.

He however stated that they would consult with APC leaders in the state in order to know their views on the 2023 presidency.

Earlier, the NDA National Coordinator, Omogbolahan Babawale said that the visit was to drum support for Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu for president come 2023.

“Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu has national appeal. He appointed Hausa, Igbo among other tribes into his cabinet when he was the Governor of Lagos State.

“Tinubu is a detribalized Nigerian as he has contributed so much to the success of APC and Nigeria at large.

“Mr Speaker, I will love you to pray and support Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu to become the President of the country come 2023.

“This is in the interest of economic prosperity and for the overall development of the country,” he added.

The national coordinator commended the speaker for his purposeful leadership in the state.
