Zamfara State chapter of the Nigeria Labour Congress, NLC, and the Trade Union Congress, TUC have condemned the nonchalant attitude of the State government over refusal to pay two months salaries.
The two labour unions have been holding a series of meetings over unpaid civil servants’ salaries and allowances in the state.
Lamenting that they have patiently waited for the salary to be paid, the two unions are demanding that the state government save the lives of workers and their families who heavily rely on salaries, which are their legitimate earnings and their statutory rights.
“We are concerned about how aggrieved the state civil servants are. However, we crave your indulgence, support, and cooperation as we move to fight for your rights. Therefore, we urge you to be more patient and persevere,” a statement from the unions affirmed.
