The spokesperson of the Nigeria Police Force, CSP Benjamin Hundeyin, has issued a security advice to Nigerians while urging them to always be security conscious.

Hundeyin in an interview on Channels TV on Tuesday, January 13 advised that in the event anyone finds themselves amongst criminals, he or she should remain calm and not struggle with the criminals.

His advice followed recent findings by the police about the murder of Abuja lawyer, Nwanmaka Chigbo.

The deceased body was dumped on the road by one-chance criminals after attacking her. Hundeyin said during interrogations, the criminals who attacked her said the victim struggled with them while they carried out the attack and that this led to them pushing her from their moving vehicle which sadly led to her death.

‘’The issue of one-chance has been on for quite sometime but the Commissioner of Police has been doing quite a lot to reduce that. Recently he addressed the residents of Abuja on how to stay safe, where to board vehicles.

We have also achieved a lot in the area of arrests of these one-chance syndicates. Just recently, a few days back, we arrested the gang behind the murder of that lawyer and the phone has been recovered.

I will like to use this opportunity to advice Nigerians, yes be security conscious but in the unfortunate event that you find yourself amongst terrible people and criminals, please do not struggle because from our investigations so far with the arrested gang members, they were saying that the woman struggled with them and that was why they got angry and pushed her out of the vehicle.

So Nigerians out there, be security conscious. When you find yourselves amongst criminals, stay calm, save your life first and we can always go after these criminals and get them arrest.
