Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma has handed over two coaster buses to Heartland football club, supporters club.

Presenting the buses to the club, the Governor disclosed that the purpose for the vehicles are to convey the footballers and supporters to venues for their matches.

“It should be worthy of note that this was not the case in time past as the sports sector was relegated and abandoned by past administrations even as Heartland FC Footballers were owed in arrears, no field or stadium for their matches or training. It was so bad that they had no means of transportation and only got to participate for home games alone.”

Responding, the leadership of the Supporters Club commended the Governor for this first of its kind gesture.
