Unknown Gunmen on Tuesday ambushed some operatives of Oyo State Amotekun Corps killing one .
Report says the deceased along with some other Amotekun operatives, were escorting farmers to their farm in Fiditi when they were ambushed by unknown gunmen.
Suleiman Quadri died at the scene while one of his fellow operatives, Amoo Yisau sustained injuries from gunshot wounds and is currently receiving treatment at the General Hospital, Owode, Oyo.
Reports say the gunmen were about 11 and the reason for the ambush is still unknown.
The commander of the Amotekun Corps, Col. Olayinka Olayanju (rtd) has since confirmed the incident and promised to share further updates when a proper investigation commences.
Quadri, 25, has since been buried according to Islamic rites.
