The Governor of Ebonyi State, David Umahi says everyone in the South East Zone wants to belong to the ruling All Progressives Congress, APC.

Governor Umahi stated this while fielding questions from newsmen after he visited the National Secretariat of the APC in Abuja.

Governor Umahi said the visit to the National Secretariat which was the first since his landmark cross over to the APC was to commend the National Chairman Alhaji Mai Mala Buni for the massive reorganization of the party as well as the credible conduct of the party’s ongoing membership registration and revalidation exercise nationwide.

While raising concern about the shortage of membership forms in the South East Zone, Governor Umahi likened the shortage to the desire of all people of the zone to identify with the centre in appreciation of President Muhammadu Buhari’s good intentions for the region.

“Everyone in the southeast wants to belong to the APC because Mr. President has helped South East so much and Ebonyi State is a shinning example. When I went to Jigawa State and saw what Jigawa is doing and what other APC Governors are doing, I shouted that we are being under-reported, so the narrative is changing, everybody is interested in Registration and revalidation and I want the National Chairman of the party to take note of this and send more forms”

He lauded President Muhammadu Buhari for the unique way he has transformed the nation and the South East Zone.
