Nigerian YouTuber, Emdee Tiamiyu who is being dragged online over the interview he granted to BBC where he said many Nigerians come into the UK under the guise of study but immediately abandon their school program to pursue a better life for themselves and their families.
Recall that Tiamiyu irked Nigerians after claiming that his countrymen are not interested in schooling in the UK but are only using it as a ploy to gain entry into the country.
Consequently, the UK government on Tuesday slammed restrictions on student visa routes to cut net migration.
The policy banned student immigrants from Nigeria and other countries from bringing family members, except for postgraduate research routes.
Shortly after a video of his interview with the BBC went viral, it’s been discovered that he’s been in the UK for only few months.
He reportedly left Nigeria for the European country in 2022.
The development generated mixed reactions from Nigerians and other immigrant students in the UK.
