A two-storey building housing a secondary school, Saints Academy students has collapsed in Busa Buji village, Jos North Local Government Area of Plateau State.
Students were said to be writing exams just before 11am when the building collapsed, and many of them are feared trapped in the rubble.
The number of casualties has not been ascertained as rescue operations are ongoing.
Photos from the scene showed parents crying after rushing to the scene in search of their children.
