Two police officials attached to the Force Intelligence Bureau (FIB) abducted last week in Kogi state have regained freedom.
The policemen identified as SP Francis Yisa and ASP John Kefas, were kidnapped while on a reconnaissance mission against terrorists in Kogi.
They were reportedly deployed following a renewed armed violence in the confluence state that have led to several killings and kidnappings.
The kidnappers had earlier demanded N30million each for their release but later reduced the amount to N20million each.
It is also unclear if ransom was eventually paid before they regained their freedom on Saturday night August 27.
