President Bola Tinubu has issued a stern directive to security personnel not to pay any dime to the abductors of over 200 students in Kaduna in the course of rescuing them.
Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris made the directive known while briefing State House correspondents on the outcome of the federal executive council meeting on Wednesday.
According to Idris, the President has directed the security personnel to go after the abductors and ensure they rescue the captives and reunite them with their families without paying a dime as ransom.
Recall that over 280 pupils and teachers of Government Secondary School and LEA primary school at Kuriga, Kaduna State were abducted by bandits recently, triggering national outrage.
The bandits reportedly invaded the Kuriga area of the Chikun Local Government Area of Kaduna State, shooting at their victims before taking at least 280 students and teachers away.
