Veteran Nollywood Actor, Ebun Oloyede, also known as Olaiya Igwe, has been summoned by the Theatre Arts and Motion Pictures Practitioners of Nigeria (TAMPAN).
This followed a recent viral video of him praying naked for the success of the All-Progressive Congress (APC) presidential candidate Asiwaju Bola Tinubu in the 2023 elections.
TAMPAN executive, Rose Odika who confirmed this report said Olaiya will appear before a disciplinary committee established by the association to defend his behavior.
Even though the actor has been called, according to Odika, he hasn’t yet shown up in front of the disciplinary committee.
Odika said actors were free to express their political inclinations but, in all decency, and in accordance with the rules governing their association.
‘’He has the right to support whoever he chooses, but we have the moral justification angle’’, Odika said.
He further disclosed that the association was examining the morality of the advertisement video which featured Olaiya.
The actor had previously denied having any knowledge of a rumored disciplinary action taken against him by TAMPAN.
