Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Waziri Tambuwal on Monday played host to the Chairman of the Nigerian Governors Forum (NGF) and Ekiti state Governor, Mr Kayode Fayemi as part of the eid-el-fitr celebration held at the palace of the Sultan of Sokoto, Alhaji Muhammad Sa’ad Abubakar.
The Governor also led his Bauchi state counterpart, Senator Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed on a similar homage visit to the Sultan.
Also earlier in the morning yesterday, the Governor, his Deputy, Hon. Manir Muhammad Dan Iya, the Speaker of the state House of Assembly, Rt. Hon. Aminu Muhammad Achida, observed the supererogatory Sallah prayer at the Fakon Idi ground with the Sultan and other dignitaries in the state. Afterwards, he was at the Sultan’s palace to pay homage.
