The Sokoto State Governor, Aminu Tambuwal, has resigned his position as the Chairman of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP Governors Forum.
The former presidential aspirant tendered his resignation on Thursday at the PDP National Executive Council meeting in Abuja.
Subsequently, the Oyo State Governor, Seyi Makinde emerged as the new Chairman of the forum.
Indication has also emerged that Tambuwal may emerge the Director General for Presidential campaign council of the party.
